Growing Up Asian American:

I’m a second-generation Asian-American born to parents who immigrated from the Philippines, and understand just how challenging it can be to connect with the right therapist.

From my own experience as a child of immigrant parents and learning how to navigate intergenerational family dynamics, I’ve been able to couple this with my professional skill set. I make every effort to practice with humility, sensitivity and provide care that is respectful of one’s unique background and individuality.

Medical/Healthcare Background:

I’ve worked for years in the healthcare setting, but also know what it’s like to be on the other side of things.

I’ve been that family member who’s had to deal with the hospitalization of loved ones, end-of-life decisions and more directly, as a parent of a cancer survivor.

Because of these unique life experiences and what the past few years have been like working in the hospital in the height of the pandemic, I truly am cognizant of the impact it has had all around. I get it; and I am ready to support you in your journey, whether you are facing a new diagnosis, chronic illness, or working in health care in some capacity.

Proud Member of TherapyDen

The aforementioned background and experience has profoundly influenced who I am and has led me to practice with increased sensitivity. Having done my share of therapy, I appreciate how it has helped me learn more about myself and evolve over time. I genuinely believe it has humbled me and influenced my ability to counsel objectively yet compassionately.

With that said, rest assured that wherever you may be in your journey, whatever you’re currently going through, I’m prepared to meet you where you are, work alongside you to help you prevail and get you where you want to be.

In my work as a Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, I strive to create an environment of warmth, trust, and mutual respect.

My philosophy and hope is that my clients feel heard and understood, welcomed and accepted, and confident to express themselves openly; so that they in turn, can foster the same qualities in their relationships with their loved ones.

I am passionate and committed to helping people work through life’s challenges and navigate the road that lies ahead.

I genuinely love what I do and am committed to helping people in their mental health journey, whether that means healing from trauma, finding new ways to cope with life’s challenges or for personal growth and self-discovery. It’s all about learning to navigate the winding road that lies ahead.

I believe when we make a conscious effort to increase self-awareness, do the inner work, and allow ourselves to be vulnerable and open to all emotions, good and bad, we start to grow and heal and are able to open ourselves to new opportunities, possibilities. In turn, our circle, community and society reaps the benefits as a whole, bringing positive change and healing to our world.
